This episode of Blueline Podcast features Assistant Commissioner Serge Côté, the executive director of the Canadian Police College (CPC), and Supt. Doug Ross, director of the School of Police Sciences with CPC.

With campuses in both Ottawa, Ont., and Chilliwack, B.C., the CPC has been providing advanced and specialized training for more than 40 years in areas such as polygraph, investigative techniques training, technical crime, explosives, forensic identification, indigenous policing, as well as leadership and management training.

Assistant Commissioner Côté assumed command of the CPC in 2018 and Supt. Ross is responsible for the organization and oversight of all programs, projects, services, courses and activities related to the Police Science School. They discuss the CPC’s modernization efforts as well as the bigger picture of the professionalization of policing. They also tap into the impacts of COVID-19 on police training and what the future might hold in terms of eLearning and more CPC partnerships.
