BA in Policing
Coursework in the policing program focuses on one class in a six-week period. Each class is 0.5 credits and costs $712 plus incidental fee approximately $100. The exact cost of tuition depends on your situation. For example, police officers with previous training may qualify for up to 10 transfer credits when entering our BA in Policing program.
BA in Criminology and Policing
Coursework in the criminology/policing program focuses on two classes in a 12-week period. Each class is 0.5 credits and costs $712 plus incidental fees of approximately $100. The exact cost of tuition depends on your situation. Individuals with at least one year of education from a university or who are currently attending university and looking to transfer are eligible for transfer credits.
Master of Public Safety & Public Safety Graduate Diplomas
Coursework in the public safety graduate degree and diploma programs both focus on one 13-week course at a time. Each class is 0.5 credits and costs $3,375, plus incidental fees of approximately $255.
Master of Social Work & Master of Social Work - Advanced Standing
The Master of Social Work can be completed in a minimum of 8 terms (16 courses). Each term will cost $2,201 plus incidental fees averaging $320 per term.
The Master of Social Work - Advanced Standing can be completed in a minimum of 4 terms (9 courses). Each term will cost $2,201 plus incidental fees averaging $320 per term.
Some exceptions to the tuition amounts above may apply, depending on whether all courses are taken as scheduled. There may be financial aid options available, as well. We always recommend that you speak to an Enrolment Advisor directly to determine the cost of the program based on your specific situation.
Transfer credits for the undergraduate programs are offered for previous courses completed at community colleges, universities or via police colleges or academies. After you apply, an admissions coordinator will assess your transcripts to determine how many transfer credits you may receive.
Although the costs associated with our online program depend on your specific situation and the number of courses you must take to complete the degree program, students at Laurier can apply for financial aid through the Student Awards Office.
When you decide to start our online Master of Social Work programs, Bachelor of Arts in Policing program, combined honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Policing program, Master of Public Safety program, or Public Safety Graduate Diploma programs, you can apply for a student loan to help pay for tuition costs. Depending on your situation, you may also qualify for certain scholarships to further reduce the out-of-pocket costs of the program.
