Studying online at Laurier was special to me because my coursework in the MSW program, which was quite intense and challenging, was delivered to me right into my home or anywhere I was at a given moment, which made it very convenient.

My whole faculty works as a team, the professors and program advisors helped a great deal in making my journey as a student easy because they were always willing to help. I think for instance, when I was preparing for my field work practicum the advisors went all out all the way.

They got a place for me where I did my placements. Prior to my MSW degree, I earned a bachelor and a master's degree in adult education. But I got interested in social work a few years back, and I have no regrets whatsoever.

My goal is to help improve the basic needs and well being of people, especially those who are vulnerable, oppressed and living in poverty. And to work with them in their challenging situations, I intend to continuously develop my professional competence. This program has prepared me for it. So I look forward to starting my practice, and put authentic smiles on people's faces.

It has been an awesome journey. We're treated like students, but also colleagues. My faculty and professors have held nothing back to make sure we worked hard. I achieved and earned this degree proudly. Today I look back, remembering all the drillings, class work assignments, working on articles. I raise my head today and say with a sense of pride and fulfillment, that I did it.

But all of this wouldn't have been possible without the cooperation, generous cooperation of my faculty, professors, field work crew and most of all, Almighty God. I am grateful. I would always be proud to recommend this great university to anyone who wants to have a taste of my experience. It was awesome.
