
Dorit is a senior leader in emergency management and resiliency and has 25 years of experience working in the local government, provincial and post-secondary sectors. She is frequently requested to speak on a wide range of topics at conferences and other organizations, including the Conference Board of Canada, industry associations and postsecondary institutions as a guest lecturer, and has co-written numerous articles for magazines. Dorit is a Certified Emergency Manager from the International Emergency Managers Association, an Associate Business Continuity Planner from Disaster Recovery Institute Canada, and received her Master of Science degree from the University of British Columbia. Her additional background in environmental management and health & safety allows her to bring a unique perspective to the fields of emergency management, sustainability, climate adaptation and resiliency.
